Barossa Region

Barossa Region

Seppeltsfield, Barossa; South Australian Tourism Commission

The Barossa region lies approx. 50 minutes north east of the CBD and is made up of two main areas, the Barossa Valley, & the Eden Valley.

The Barossa is widely regarded as Australia’s most famous wine region. It has been perfecting its varieties of distinctive wines since 1842 and is home to the longest unbroken lineage of grape growing families in the country.

The Barossa is one of the few regions that can offer both warm & cool climates simultaneously. The valley floors Mediterranean climate is perfect for creating a big, bold Shiraz & dry Rieslings. While the cooler climates in the elevated Eden Valley produce a fantastic range of white wines. With over 150 wineries & 80 cellar doors, the Barossa region has wine to suit everyone’s taste!

In addition to a fantastic wine selection, the Barossa boasts over eight breweries and distilleries which are tucked in between the labyrinth of vineyards & cellar doors. You will find everything you are looking for, from high end Gins, to mead & a great range of classic & experimental beers.

We have worked closely with venues in the Barossa Region to develop our range of recommended tours below. We developed these tours with the vision of creating enjoyable experiences for our customers, whilst eliminating the headache of managing multiple bookings & pre-paid tasting fees.
